Abstract:

This M2 presents the key results from a qualitative survey and an asynchronous discussion group about the lived experiences of more than 560 people living with Intracranial Hypertension (IH).
IH is a rare chronic illness-disability. A biomedical meta-narrative contributes to a misalignment in the way the condition is understood, managed and lived. Current research lacks meaningful insight from those who live with IH. This study, therefore, seeks to broaden what we know about IH by engaging with the collective experiential knowledges of a global community on Facebook.
